Official Synopsis:-

The life of the Latino doorman of a New York apartment building is set to unravel, when he is seduced and then dumped by a privileged college kid who lives in the building.

Only who will have the last laugh?

Dave Says:-

Contrasting the repetitive working routine of a doorman, with the yearnings of human nature, this alternately tender / brutal short film from
director and co-writer Etienne Kallos, disturbing charts an infatuation that is seemingly blind, to the reality of the situation.

It is a work overflowing with dramatic, if near homoerotic tension between the two protagonists; one a college student used to sex in the city and the other, a closeted Latino clearly struggling with his sexual path in life. Both actors play their parts well, even if it is Jamil Mena as doorman Diego who has the dominate role, vividly conveying the emotions of his heart by way of looks and body language, rather than the laconic narrative, courtesy of the joint pen of Diana Fithian. And it works well, far exceeding the limitations of its budget, resulting in an unnerving journey of sexual self-acceptance.
