Or to put it another way; what goes around, comes around, as the alpha male of the piece is set to discover. Only before then, cue the life of seventeen-year-old Scottish teen John, namely a boy totally at ease with his rainbow sexuality, to the point of offering the outstretched hand of support to his best friend Chloe, intent as she is on attending a house party full of straights, including homophobic host Daniel who thinks of himself as God's gift to women. Yet when Daniel's girl views him instead as dispensable company that night, a rejected stud is soon to be seen letting his hands and lips do the walking on a drunken Chloe. But at what cost to his reputation? For that is the central theme of this well-executed work, given behind the pulsating party atmosphere lies the raging hormones of adolescent youth, ones that in writer Peter Forbes' hands and indeed as in real life, can at times see acts of sexual desire come face to face with what is both legally and morally wrong. It is a story in which one and all and to their credit have clearly gone out of their way to nurture new talent, including Ross William (We Will Rock You) Wild who here let's rips as sexual predator Daniel. Sure there are other issues to be had, as bigoted taunts and ulterior motives come to play their part in this refreshingly variant take on the teenage party scene, even if it may have had greater impact, had the pivotal sexual act been more alarmingly enforced. That said, this dynamic short arrives with a neat twist come the end reel, as Peters' along with a host of other names I could mention, takes pride in keeping the UK gay film industry - alive and kicking!
