an inspired send-up of the Go Go scene.
Go Go Reject by Michael J Saul Have you ever dreamed a dream? Well in this joyous short from Crush and True Love director Michael J Saul, Yogurt World employee Daniel Ferguson dreams of a career as the Jennifer Beals of the male Go Go Dancing scene; after all he knows how to move far more than the prime cuts of static man-beef on stage at his local gay bar.

Yet therein lies his problem, given his thin as a rake physique promptly results with Daniel becoming a Go Go Reject, that of an audition outcast at seemingly every club in town. Undaunted by his failure to fulfil his childhood dream, you’ve somehow just got a feeling that this boy is going to flashdance his way to success, with a little bit of imagination and love that is.

Go Go Reject by Michael J Saul Written, produced and starring Heath Daniels as Daniel, as based on his "true life tragedy" attempts at Go Go Dancing in West Hollywood, the result is an inspired send-up of the Go Go scene itself. That such was ripe for the picking sees the cast throw themselves in at the jovial deep end, with Iva Turner as Daniel’s co-worker Becky in particular delivering a series of deadpan one-liners, thereby allowing Matthew Bridges as his namesake to provide a shoulder to lean on and Korken Alexander as Go Go Pro Cesar, perhaps something closer to the heart.

Only this is the Heath Daniels show; his upbeat approach to life in the face of incessant "you’re too skinny" feedback giving way to the maxim don’t give up on your dreams, a heartfelt message that is laced between a set of cool dance steps and some cute eye-candy. Complete with an end credit sequence that includes a series of inserts from the cast on the way to succeed, or perhaps not, on the Go Go scene, this comical delight is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face in an ever so choreographed way.
