You know, there's a clue in the title as to what's on offer here. Namely a secluded B&B where an assorted mix of gay and lesbian couples check in, before checking out - some permanently! And no wonder, when their unwelcoming host is a "praise the Lord" serial killer on a mission to convert one of the manly sinners present to heterosexual conformity, courtesy of a sexual union with her sweet-on-girls daughter Luella. Only what's that lurking down below and are you sure those mincemeat muffins are fit for human consumption?

Yes, they're all here folks. From lipstick lesbians to cute party boys and from a wannabe country singer, fag-hag, leather man and the requisite sugar daddy, right down to a drag queen of the "hell hath no fury" kind. Only for all that's going on in this "who will make it out alive" splat-fest of a movie, the end product is way too long. Indeed it's like writer, producer and director Jaymes Thompson just couldn't bring himself to cut a series of back stories and overlong sequences that frankly, are screaming out for an edit.

That said and as expected performances vary, with some of the cast surprisingly playing the OTT scenario just a little too straight, as-it-were. Thankfully Mari Marks excels as the homicidal hotel proprietor of the piece, with few coming close to matching her star turn, although Georgia Jean as her demented daughter Luella and Michael Soldier when in drag, give her a good run.

Sure blood and guts, religious extremism, homophobia, Republicanism, gay sex, group sex, camp horror, celluloid terror and hunks stripped down to their trunks; did I leave anything out - oh, a lesbian nun, production number styled opening credits and a homosexual eating mutant (and yes, you read that one right) may not be to everyone's cinematic taste. But hey, this is gay cinema with a difference, being the spoof horror genre, done gay style and a slasher flick with more stereotypes than what you can shake a cutthroat razor at. And here I dare say that fans of the genre will love it.
