Dave says:

This deeply poignant short film from Colombian director Daniel Mateo Vallejo follows the life of twenty-one-year-old Nicolás (Sebastián Ramírez Porras) in the days following his decision to undergo a test for HIV. Opening with a series of medical and all too personal questions for a young man still clearly coming to terms with his sexuality, the narrative thereafter charts his interplay with his family and in particular his mother during the weekend that he awaits the result.

In short, this is a work that achingly depicts the agonising wait for the outcome of an HIV test and how such mental anguish here affects his relationship not only with his family, but that of a man, perhaps his partner, perhaps a stranger in the night, who Nicolás opts to get up close and yet not so personal with.

Yet this is also a work that strikingly details the plight of a young man, who in still having to come out to his family, must face up to the reality that he could be HIV positive and if so, the consequences of such on his own, seemingly without the support of friends or family. Both moving and profound, goes without saying.
