For a short film with such an explicit title, writer and director Michael Hyman plays it remarkably coy. Then again, this is not a work about unadulterated sex; rather a touching tale of a man who following the death of his one true love, seeks solace in the midnight hour by way of getting serviced from the waist down.

In short, this is but a moving portrait of a man too afraid to fall in love again, opting instead for anonymous hook-ups on the waste grounds of urban life. Seemingly alone in the world by his own making, he's content to live his life that way, until his nocturnal routine is broken by a youth armed with a pair of binoculars, who likes nothing more than to observe his man getting it on. The youth is Paul (Jason Caceres) and the man is obviously Billy, aka Wilson Cruz of Star Trek: Discovery, Noah's Arc and Coffee Date fame to name but three and together, perhaps they're about to discover that they are not quite so alone in the world, after all.

Laced with more than a hint of dark humour, together with the key recurring line from Caceres that he's not looking for cheap thrills, but clearly something more meaningful, this poignant piece details the life of a man who treats his random encounters without ever looking at their face, least of all into their eyes, so as to avoid seeing their soul, or could it be his soul in reflection. Beautifully played by Cruz for what is in effect a two-man play, with if truth be told the opening half more of a monologue delivered by him direct to camera, the result is a heartfelt work that has a lot to say about life and in particular about a man having all but given up on love, that is until fate comes calling. That Chopin's enchanting Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2 arrives by way of a surprise, makes this even more of a delight. Say no more.
