a delightful comedy of errors; dating style.

principal players: Michael Osborne / James, Jeff Lorch / Raymond, Anthony Sherritt / Robert,

Official Synopsis:

James and Raymond are two men looking for a connection in life. They meet for a blind date in a Mexican restaurant. James is extremely nervous, but Raymond is calm and collected and tries to make the most of their awkward encounter. But as the two men learn more about each other, their rocky date takes an unexpected turn toward the absurd.

Dave says:

Written and directed by Nathaniel Atcheson of numerous gay shorts fame, this delightful Dodge College of Film and Media Arts work is but a comedy of errors, done dating style, as we witness the restaurant rendezvous of two men, clearly at opposite ends of the dating spectrum. To that end, Michael Osborne as James is every inch the nervous guy of the piece; clumsy, ill-at-ease, unsure how to proceed, unlike Jeff Lorch as sexually confident Raymond; a man evidently on a mission that night.

Set against a Mexican backdrop, this vibrant play on the 'odd couple' scenario keeps its narrative cards well hidden until the half way point, whereupon the twist-in-the-tale is somewhat obvious. But what the hell; this is bright and breezy light entertainment, played for all its worth. Need more be said?
