Official Synopsis:

At a new school Leandro and Jefferson form an instant attachment and soon realize that theirs is no ordinary friendship. But young Jeff has something to tell.

Dave says:

There's something beautifully natural about this short film, played as it is with all the energy of youth. Yet behind the jovial atmosphere of the piece, writer and director Rafael Aidar has a serious point to make and make it he does, even if to state the point in question would be a cardinal sin.

What can be said is that this sweet tale of boys in love is all about honesty, as we come to witness the arrival of Leandro into a class full of strangers. But not strangers for long, as local boy Jefferson is soon to welcome Leandro into his circle of friends, even if it's clear from day one that Jefferson would rather be welcoming Leandro into his arms. Yet for Jefferson the course of true love does not run smooth. For in wanting to be open and honest about himself, he knows he risks losing the one he loves.

That's a poignant theme heavy for adults, let alone teenagers coming to terms with the world around them. Yet it's a message that Aidar delivers with style, thanks to a large degree to the vibrant chemistry between stars of the show Jefferson Brito and Victor Monteiro, who between them wonderfully convey the emotional bond of teenagers in love. Frankly, there's a lot to like here, including an ending that's subtly beautiful, even if its positive message feels a bit too educational at times. But then and given the nature of "the package", is that really a bad thing?
