Over before you know it, this Italian Pride piece nevertheless finds award-winning director Pappi Corsicato filling his few minutes of screen time with a rollercoaster ride of emotions. In essence, this is the story of two boys in love, who opt to show their affection for each other in public by the simple, loving act of holding hands, only for one thereafter to have second thoughts about such a display of sexual openness.
Yet to say more, would be a spoiler.
What can be said is that its heartfelt message is but universal, having preached from the cinematic pulpit the simple truth that love is love, regardless of sexuality. And to show that in public, should be a right for all. Beautifully played out against the apt soundtrack of the Cole Porter classic Let's Do It (Let's Fall In Love), this sweet gem concludes with a twist in the tale styled ending, one that and regardless of whether or not you saw it coming, is certain to bring a smile to your face. Simply wonderful, yet equally so poignant.
